Hard Knocks Showing Roberto Aguayo Getting Cut Shouldn’t Have You Upset

When I saw this tweet I couldn’t believe Mike Florio tweeted it out. But then I could at the same time. Let me state first why I couldn’t believe I saw him tweet this:

Hard Knocks is a TV show and has been a show that has been aired for quite awhile now, so this isn’t the first time we have seen someone cut on live TV. It’s entertainment and pro athletes are in the entertainment industry. I know it must kind of suck to see yourself cut live on TV, but you signed up to be in the public light, so you can’t be in the dumps when it happens. How is it much different than Aguayo missing kicks on Sunday’s and the camera being pointed to him right after? They’re both humiliating in their own way.

Also Mike Florio is in the business where he discusses hot seats with coaches all the time. And also reports when a coach gets fired. So shouldn’t he feel bad about himself doing this? Of course not, it’s his job and he makes a living off of it. From here on out, whenever Mike Florio reports that a coach will be fired, I hope he puts a:

PS: I’m so sorry for doing this, it’s so humiliating for this coach, I feel so bad and literally shaking by how sad I am.

Will he put this after each report? Hell no because that would be wack, so why should Hard Knocks?

When I saw this I also could believe that Florio tweeted this out. We are living in a world now where people are getting offended by every single little thing that they see. I’m not going to get political, but you know where and what I’m hinting at. We as a sports society need to stop overthinking things and just take a step back. In this world things are going to offend you. Just yesterday there were multiple things that offended me. I saw that the gas price was higher than I wanted it. Did I want that sign removed and did I tweet out how humiliating it was to see it? Of course I didn’t. That would be really weird and so is that tweet from Mike Florio. It’s just weird.

Remember that athletes are in the entertainment business. When good things happen to them we are going to broadcast it. When bad things happen to them we are going to broadcast it. If they can’t handle it, then they don’t need to be in the business. Simple as that!
